I. Course Description
This course is designed as a chemical agents/OC and officer safety
yearly refresher and up in the tactical use of OC pepper spray.
II. Course Topics Covered
NEW information on: officer safety, defensive force management
pepper spray, weapon dynamics, medical information and the correct
tactical use of OC pepper spray in field and institutional environments.
Course features special training on safe control and restraint
techniques on subjects expose OC, increasing influence success
rates, avoiding OC mistakes and cross-contamination, responses
to critical incidents, safe room extractions and post-incident
report writing.
A significant portion of this course involves hands-on practice
and proficiency testing using INERT (water) aerosol canister,
during realistic scenarios.
* OC Pepper Spray is a defensive weapon. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND that
officers armed with OC take this course each year and be tested
for knowledge of OC dynamics and proficiency in using their weapon.

Must have already completed a basic POST/STC chemical agents/OC
course for peace officers per 12403 PC.
